Best diaper on the market for the past decade!

I am a stay at home Mom with 4 children. I have been buying diapers for the past almost 11 years and Pampers Baby Dry is hands down the best diaper on the market and believe me I have tried them all! All of my kids have been "super soakers" when it comes to pee. These diapers way out perform any other brand including major brands and department store brands. The major selling points for me are:

1. They are thin easy to pack 5 in a diaper bag.

2. Easy to unfold with one hand (if you like me frequently have to use the other hand to keep baby still)

3. tabs are easily opened without extra unfolding and don't rip off like several other brands.

4. Doesn't leave residue on baby or smell like pee when really soaked.

5. wider in the front to prevent baby from peeing out the side (and my kids are experts at this)



One thing that may be helpful is to remember that Pampers fit better on children that are long and skinny. If your baby is short and really chubby in the bottom then Huggies will fit your baby better. This I believe explains the few complaints about Pampers not fitting or leaking.

cheap absorbent but they rip

like another reviewer said these are really weak along the sides. i was surprised when my 3yo kept saying his pants were falling down. well his easy ups had ripped and were sideways inside his pants hanging by one leg. this has happened about 3 times in 30....not so great. on the other hand these easyups are fairly cheap compared to competitors. i still don't think i'll buy them again. i'm disappointed by the quality considering that this is a pampers product.More detail ...

Great Wipes!

I've been buying these wipes for over a year now never had a weird smell to them. They are very moist which is great for removing diaper cream off of your fingers before you can get to the sink. Overall great wipes I just wish that I could order the refill without the plastic tub (we've accumulated so many now) I just don't feel right throwing them away but I don't know what else to do with them.More detail ...

Why Reinvent The Wheel?

My husband and I purchased the Swaddlers to use with our newborn (born March 1 of this year) and were quite pleased until they changed to the DryMax. There is no longer a color-indicator for wetness they smell horrible and worst of all our son becomes absolutely miserable the moment he wets the diaper. We certainly don't want our child sitting around in a wet diaper but when you purchase more expensive diapers you expect your child to be comfortable in them.



If they don't at least offer the old version again we will not continue to use Pampers. It's a shame because it was such a great diaper!More detail ...

Once Great Now Crapola Pampers Cruisers

We are a family 3 years into our use of Pampers (multiple boys) and have always been huge fans. Cruisers (historically) almost never leak and diaper rash has rarely been an issue. I've never blinked at the higher price because I felt it was well worth having dry happy babies both day and night. But sometime this summer Pampers made the executive decision to vastly reduce the quality of the Cruisers (they reduced the absorbency and removed the keep-dry liner which ironically is still described in the current product description) without notifying customers or changing the packaging. This seems like a horribly unethical thing to do. I'm surprised there aren't more negative comments here in response to the lowered quality of the product (check out the other major online outlet for diapers if you want to see pages of angry customers). Personally after spending (literally) thousands of dollars with Pampers over the years I'm shocked by the silent switch in product.



Rumor has it that the "old" Cruisers are now being rebranded as Cruisers Premium and are only available at Target (presumably this is some test marketing scheme). Unfortunately as Target doesn't exist in VT and I'm loathe to pay the huge shipping fees from Target.com I cannot confirm that these new Cruisers Premium are in fact the same as our old beloved Cruisers. We've switched to Huggies which seem prone to leaks and seem to have a sharper urine smell to them even when relatively fresh. But there doesn't seem to be any alternatives (although I am open to suggestion is anybody has any good ones to share!).



But I'm really disgusted by the way Pampers has squandered their customer loyalty. If they wanted to pump up profit margins I would have preferred that they simply raised the prices which would have been more honest and respectful.



Excuse me I have to go change my baby who has apparently leaked through his Huggies while I've been writing this review. Bah....More detail ...

Best Diapers for First Time Parents of Newborns

These are the diapers that we were introduced to at the hospital. Although the regular Swaddlers are very good these sensitive diapers have the moisture indicator. It is a yellow stripe that turns blue if there is any moisture in the diaper and we find it to be invaluable. Some may find it gimmicky but when we first brought our baby home from the hospital we didn't know about the sensitive vs. regular Swaddlers and had a pack of regular Swaddlers. We were also paranoid about ensuring he didn't become dehydrated. You need to count and track both the wet and soiled diapers. Since disposable diapers are now so over engineered a mildly wet diaper is not always perceptible. After a panicked call to the pediatrician she suggested putting a cotton ball or tissue in the diaper to see if there was indeed some moisture. If we had been using the sensitive Swaddlers from the start we would have had more peace of mind because the blue strip would have been readily apparent.



We tried other brands for newborns and found these to be the best. Huggies was the second best and while they had better Velcro closures the diapers were far bulkier (even when dry) had a plastic-y smell and tended to smear the baby poop all over the butt. The Swaddlers are slimmer have no discernible smell and the poop tends to stay put because of the mesh interior fabric making clean up easier and any ensuing diaper rash smaller in surface area.



I highly recommend this product and think this is the finest disposable diaper. Although this is a premium product the Amazon price is quite fair at around $40 for 180 diapers yielding a unit cost of approximately $0.23. At a Target in the metro-NY area where I live it's $18.99 for 74 a unit cost of about $0.26.



Note to new parents - only buy 180 diapers when your baby's weight falls towards the lower end of the size range. We're stuck with an opened but practically full bag of newborn size diapers and were surprised when out baby boy was born at 8.5 pounds - we were expecting a seven-pounder. It became pretty clear that the newborn size was a bit too small. We quickly discovered that it's better to have a slightly larger diaper than one that is slightly too small.

the best for my baby

These diapers are the best I have found for my baby. I've tried Huggies & Huggies Supreme but ended up throwing away most of the package because of leaks. We've also tried Cruisers which are good but in terms of keeping my baby's bottom dry Pampers Baby Dry is the best BAR NONE. (We use Cruisers during the day when she's crawling around and running but for sleeping and traveling when she might not get changed right away we always rely on Baby Dry.)More detail ...

A Premium Price for a Generic Downgrade.

I find it funny that these diapers are being listed as a new product. They have been sneaking these sub generic diapers into the old cruiser packaging for a very long time. The new dry max diaper is very thin(a very cheaply made feel) not soft at all(not inside or outside) there is no longer a liner up the back of the diaper(nothing to catch poop or blowouts) there is no longer a mesh liner(which wicked away moisture and acted as a barrier between the absorbent liner thus keeping moisture off your babies skin also it worked well at holding poops in place) there are MANY reports of diaper rash with these new diapers as well as possible chemical reactions to this diaper now being made with petrochemicals more than anything else ( enviro friendly how???). There is an entire facebook group called "Pampers Bring Back The Old Cruisers" that has 450 members and growing daily. It has a wealth of information about all the issues with these new diapers. Also you can find all the comparisons of the old cruisers verses the new. One look there and you will see exactly how much of a downgrade this is. Why pay a premium price for such a downgrade? There claims of this "new" technology being better for your baby and for the environment is extremely far fetched and nothing more than a business move to try and force these on the public. Pampers has stated that it costs less to make these diapers and that they will NOT be transferring this savings on to the consumer. That statement in itself shows that this "new" diaper was not built for your babies bottom...but for their bottom line. BUYER BEWARE!!!More detail ...

I love these wipes! They aren't too thick and the odor is nice and gently. Some of the other wipes had a strong odor but this wipe is great. I also love that it came with another container! Product takes disappointing turn...

We have really enjoyed using these wipes for our daughter. We carry a large package with us when we travel and the wipes stay moist for weeks after being opened as long as you reclose them with the adhesive strip. But there is the problem....



Just received a box of these wipes and Pampers has decided to remove the reclosing feature meaning that once open you have to put them into a container. Feh - this is messy and the wipes are now more exposed to air and will probably dry out. So now we cut open a slot and fashion a closure strap from a piece of packing tape (when we just want the package of wipes without the container.)
